50 people see…

Flickr member brevity made a little app that takes photos and creates an “average” image out of them. He chooses 50 photos tagged with, say “shadow”, and produces something like this:

  1. Cool. brevity cites Jason Salavon (with whom I’m not familiar); but it made me think of Jim Campbell’s “Illuminated Averages.” He’s used this technique with various images, including a few movies; I saw his “averaged” image of the entire film “Psycho” at the SFMoMA last year.
