Transcript follows:

Tonight's feature film on "Queer TiVo Cinema" was Big Eden, an award-winning film I first saw a couple of years ago in Boston and currently premiering on television as part of the Sundance channel's Outloud month of gay-themed programming. With absolutely no ambivalence like that I've been feeling toward last night's movie, All Over the Boy, I loved this movie unequivocally.

From the everyman protagonists portrayed by Arye Gross and Eric Schweig, in a very nice departure from the usual gym-toned young pretty boy romantic leads of most gay film, to the wonderfully loving and matter-of-fact reactions and machinations of the townsfolk, from the gorgeous Montana setting and cinematography, even to the fittingly evocative country-western music score, this Montana fable about love, longing and belonging is a gem and a keeper. Tomorrow I'll be placing an order for the DVD; I'm looking forward to exploring the additional features of the special two-disc set. There are still a few showings on the Sundance channel of this film; if you haven't yet had a chance to see it, you really should check it out.

From Arlington, Virginia, this is Thom. And you've been listening to a Pride Month episode of Elf-Indulgent Radio.

I LOVED Big Eden. I saw it a couple of days ago and I have to say, I was genuinely surprised. It really wasn't your typical gay movie.
